Rehab Program Coordinator
M.S., OT

Joshua L. began his career as an occupational therapy assistant and spent two years in that career before graduating with an M.S. in occupational therapy and joining the Aegis Therapies team as a rehab program coordinator. In his role as rehab program coordinator, Joshua is responsible for the overall quality of the rehab programs within his facility as well as managing his team's caseload.

Joshua takes pride in seeing his patients achieve their goals. One patient in particular brought a smile to his face after all of her hard work and dedication paid off. "She was able to reach the point of independence on and off the facility grounds and was discharged home independently with family," he explains. "It was great to give her a hug and see her face light up as she walked out of the facility."

Because of his love for helping others, Joshua enjoys all the responsibilities of his job. "I love working with the residents at any facility," he explains. "I love the opportunity to listen to their amazing stories while providing a life-changing service. My coworkers have been wonderful to work with. We have fun while helping to positively impact the lives of those we serve."

Additionally, Joshua believes that that key to providing excellent service is getting to know his patients and caring for them as one would care for a family member. "If we view them as someone we love and care about, we are more likely to go the extra mile to find just the right treatment technique or approach that can make all the difference for that person," he explains.
