How does Aegis measure improvement?

Aegis uses a measurement tool called “Rehabilitation Outcomes Measure,” or “ROM” and the Continuity Assessment Record and Evaluation (CARE) Tool. We have been collecting clinical outcome data since the inception of the Prospective Payment System (PPS) in 1999 and have more than 8 million patient records, the largest post-acute outcomes database in the industry.

ROM helps us to objectively demonstrate the value of what we do — making patients less dependent and giving them their freedom back, while data from the CARE Tool provides an objective measure of the impact of rehabilitation efforts.
